Council Angered By Blyth Businesses – Time For An Election?

Last night’s council meeting started off with a report on survey
results from 32 Blyth businesses.  A few councillors seemed
offended by the report, and treated the presenters as poorly as they
do the public gallery.  A member of the public gallery tried to
ask a question after the report presentation, but was denied by
current Mayor Neil Vincent.  This oppressive action denied the
public the Right to ask the presenters any questions.  About
1/2 dozen people left the meeting shortly after the person was
denied the Right to speak.  One of the disgruntled people that
left early,  said something to Brock Vodden on the way
out.  This unknown comment wiped Vodden’s perfunctory grin off
his face, and Brock looked like he just saw a ghost.  It is not
known what prompted the comment from the citizen, but it could have
been the despicable way the presenters of the survey results were
treated.  Vodden stated I find it difficult to give any
credibility to your report”
.

Vodden also stated that he wanted more of the survey data.  The
presenters made it clear that the survey was anonymous
