Corn Field Driver Could Face Up To 10 Years In Jail

(CARRICK TWP, ON) – On September 27, 2012 at 3:21 pm, the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of damaged crops to a corn field in the 200 block of Bruce County Road 28 in Carrick Township. Officers arrived and saw vehicle tracks travelling through the field which destroyed part of the corn crop. The value of the damage is estimated to be $200. Destruction of property is a criminal act called Mischief which carries a maximum penalty of 10 years in jail.
