Corn Field Donuts Could Cost $2,000

(CARRICK TWP, ON) – On May 7th, 2012 at 10:50 am, the South Bruce OPP received a report of property damage from a farm property in the 600 block of Concession 12 in Carrick Township. Sometime between the evening of May 6th, 2012 and the morning of May 7th, 2012 someone did “donuts” in a field planted with corn seed. Destroying the corn seed is a criminal offence called Mischief that carries a maximum penalty of 2 years in jail. Using someone’s property without permission is trespassing which carries a maximum fine of $2,000. Anyone with information on this incident is asked to call the South Bruce OPP or Crime Stoppers.
