(TOWNSHIP OF PERTH EAST, ON) On Saturday March 14, 2015, Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers were dispatched to the Township of Perth East waste disposal site on Line 29 east of Tavistock. Township employees discovered that unknown person(s) entered the site after operating hours and stole recovered and sorted copper wire.
Investigation indicated that the theft most likely occurred on Thursday night March 12th. The culprit(s) would have entered the site by means of the main entrance along Line 29, and would have climbed over or around the fence. A vehicle would have been required to remove the stolen materials.
