(FERGUS, ON) On March 19, 2013 at about 11:50am, members of the County of Wellington OPP along with paramedics from Guelph-Wellington EMS and the Centre Wellington Fire Department responded to the report of an injured male at an abandoned factory on Gartshore Street in Fergus.
The injured 22 year old Moffat area male was transported by ambulance to Groves Memorial Hospital in Fergus, and then transferred to Hamilton General Hospital where he remains listed in critical condition.
Investigation revealed two males were in the factory to illegally remove copper from the building. The injured male was in the rafters when he fell approximately thirty feet.
The second male, Kent Wall, age 25 of Kitchener has been charged with Break and Enter contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph court on May 3, 2013 to answer to the charges.
