CONTROLLED BURN RESULTS IN INJURED MALE 2013-07-16
(MUNICIPALITY OF HURON EAST, ON) On Monday July 15, 2013, around 10 p.m., personnel of the Seaforth Golf Club were burning a large pile of brush. As the fire was lit, one of the individuals received burns to his body.
The injured male, a 47 year old Huron East resident was transported to Seaforth Hospital. He was subsequently airlifted to the Hamilton General Hospital burn Unit where he remains in critical but stable condition.
An Ontario Fire Marshall investigator and members of the Ontario Ministry of Labour attended the scene. Both agencies are continuing their investigation into this incident.
