Comment & Voting System Upgrades

We are currently upgrading our site, part of these upgrades have included a streamlined comment posting system.

Old System:

Our system use to send out a confirmation email for each submitted post.

Comments were screened before going live.

You could vote on comments once every 24 hours.

You had to vote to see voting results.

New System:

You must sign up in order to post comments.

Your username and password will allow you to post on any of the upcoming 20+ FreePress sites.

Your username and password will allow you to post free photo classified ads on our network of sites. (once testing is complete)

You can now vote on stories/articles.

You can now vote “made me laugh”, “thumbs up”, “thumbs down”.

You can only vote on comments/stories once. (based on IP)

Comments are no longer screened before going live.

We have created a “comment blocker” that allows us to block comments quickly if required.

Voting results are now displayed to everyone.

You will be sent an email to confirm your account, after that you only need your username and password to post comments etc.
