Collision Near Bluevale – 18 Year Old Airlifted To London With Life-Threatening Injuries

(MORRIS-TURNBERRY, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and members from the OPP West Region Technical Traffic Collision Investigation Team (TTCI) are currently on scene investigating a motor vehicle crash that has occurred east of Bluevale this morning.

At approximately 8:12 a.m. officers from the Huron County OPP Detachment along with North Huron Fire Department and Huron County EMS responded to the scene of a single motor vehicle crash located on Amberley Road (County #86) west of Ramsay Line.

The initial investigation has determined the driver of a Honda Civic was travelling westbound on Amberley Road when he lost control of his vehicle while attempting to pass another vehicle. The Honda Civic left the roadway, rolled and ended up on its side in a field.

The 18 year old male driver of the Honda Civic was transported to hospital by air ambulance with life-threatening injuries.

His passenger, a 19 year old female was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Amberley Road (County #86) is closed at the intersection of Brussels Line and Amberley Road and at the intersection of Harriston Road and Amberley Road. Please use alternate routes to avoid delays.
