Collision Leads To Impaired Charges

On September 14, 2015 at 4:28 p.m., the Guelph Police went to Paisley Road for a two vehicle collision. It is alleged that a 2009 Kia travelling west on Paisley struck a parked vehicle. Police spoke with the male driver and a demand was made for a roadside breath sample. He failed this test and was arrested.

Anthony Tessaro, 40 years of Guelph has been charged with impaired driving and drive over 80 mg. He will appear in court on October 2, 2015.

Theft from cars

On September 14, 2015 the Guelph Police received six reports from Guelph residents about thefts from their cars. The locations were Wyndham Street, Swift Crescent, Oak Street, Edinburgh Road South, Stuart Street and Willow Road.

This crime is easily avoided by locking your cars, keeping valuables out of sight or removed from your vehicle and parked in a well-lit and visible area where possible. Vehicles damaged

On September 14, 2015 the Guelph Police received four reports from Guelph residents about damage to their vehicles. A resident on College Avenue had a tire slashed and the convertible top of a car on Gordon Street was cut. Two other residents report their vehicles were scratched, one on Woolwich Street and the other on Rickson Avenue.
