Motor vehicle collision leads to an impaired charge
At approximately 03:09am police received information that a motor vehicle collision occurred in the 200 block of 18th Street East. When officers arrived they located the driver of the motor vehicle and determined his ability to operate a motor vehicle was impaired by alcohol.
The 25 year old male was arrested for impaired driving and after providing breath samples was further charged with drive over 80mg, take vehicle without consent and drive suspend.
The collision resulted in the vehicle being destroyed with both air bags being deployed. A light standard was also damaged. The male was not injured as a result of the collision.
The male was released with a January 8, 2015 court date.
