(TOWNSHIP OF CHATSWORTH, ON) – On Thursday, March 9, 2017, at approximately 8:47 a.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a collision between a 2009 International – First Canada School Bus and a 2013 Mercedes vehicle on Sideroad 10 at Concession 2 in the Township of Chatsworth.
There were 36 students on board the bus at the time of the collision. No one was injured. Damage to vehicles was minimal.
The driver of the Mercedes, 22-year old Nowfal AKHRAS, of Mississauga, Ontario, was charged with fail to share half roadway – meeting vehicle under the Highway Traffic Act (HTA).
