Collision In Owen Sound Sends 6 To Hospital

Two people were injured following a two vehicle collision in Owen Sound Thursday afternoon.

Around 12:15 PM a southbound Cadillac sedan being driven by a 35 year old Durham woman struck a Honda Odyssey mini-van that was making a left turn westbound onto 6 th Street East from 9 th Avenue East.

The Honda was being driven by a 40 year old Holland Centre woman and there were also four children in the minivan at the time of the crash. Fortunately the children were all properly secured with child safety restraints.

The Owen Sound Police, Owen Sound Fire and EMS attended the scene. All six occupants of the vehicles were taken to the hospital by ambulance. The children were checked and found to be fine. The drivers of both vehicles received minor injuries and were treated and released from hospital.

The driver of the Honda minivan was charged under the Highway Traffic Act with making an unsafe turn.
