Collision As A Result Of Road Rage

(TOWNSHIP OF PERTH EAST, ON) Friday December 23, 2011 around 9 p.m. Perth County OPP officers were dispatched to Highway 7/8 near Road 102 where two vehicles had collided.

Investigation revealed that two vehicles were traveling east bound on Hwy 7/8 when the second vehicle, a Honda Civic drove closely behind the first. The first vehicle a PT cruiser pulled over allowing the second vehicle to pass. The Honda stopped in the middle of the highway in front of the PT cruiser which drove into the back of the Honda. The impact did not result in injuries. The driver of the Honda a 26 year old Waterloo man has been charged with “careless driving”. The driver of the PT cruiser, a 45 year old Nelson B.C. man has been charged with “careless driving” and “driving while suspended”. Both men are to appear in Stratford court on January 31, 2012 to answer to the charges.
