(BROCKTON, ON) – On April 8th, 2012 at 8:37 pm, a South Bruce OPP officer on patrol along Bruce County Road 3, Brant Township, stopped a Silver Honda Accord for speeding; 127 km/h in a posted 80 km/h zone. The driver initially provided a false name to police. When the man’s true identity was confirmed, he was found to be a suspended driver. 46 year old Collin MCKENZIE of Toronto has been charged with Speeding, Fail to identify, Obstruct police, Obstruct justice and Drive while suspended. He was held in custody for a show cause hearing on April 10th, 2012. The passenger, 32 year old Helen HAZEL of Toronto was charged with Obstruct police and Obstruct justice. She is scheduled to appear in Provincial Court on May 28th, 2012.
