(MUNICIPALITY OF WEST PERTH, ON) On the evening of Wednesday September 01, 2010, Perth County OPP officers investigated the presence of 2 suspicious ATV’s parked behind a residence in Monkton. These ATV’s had been seen driving through Monkton by persons who entered the residence where the machines were parked.
Police discovered that one of the 4 wheel ATV’s was found to have been reported stolen from a West Perth residence a few days earlier. Two adult persons, a male and female were arrested at the location. As a result of further investigation police obtained a search warrant for the residence. They executed the search warrant, which resulted in the seizure of a quantity of property believed to have been previously stolen. In addition, narcotics and drug paraphernalia were also seized.
Colleen Baille (46) from the Municipality of West Perth is facing charges for possession of stolen property, breach of probation, firearms offences and charges under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act. She is currently being held in custody awaiting a bail hearing.
The male arrested at the residence remains under investigation by police.
