(MUNICIPALITY OF NORTH PERTH, ON) On Thursday May 06, 2010 shortly after 11 p.m. a concerned motorist called police and reported a possible impaired driver east of Monkton. A Perth County OPP officer responded to the call and observed the vehicle in question swerving in its lane.
The officer pulled over the vehicle and spoke to the driver who displayed obvious signs of impairment. The driver was arrested for impaired operation and was transported to the Perth County OPP Detachment in Sebringville where he registered over .80 mgs. on the Intoxilyzer.
Colin Fraser (34) of Huron East was charged with operating a motor vehicle while impaired and with operating a motor vehicle with over 80 milligrams of blood alcohol content. He is to appear in criminal court on June 09, 2010 at the Elma Memorial Community Centre in Atwood to answer to these charges. He has also been served a 90 day drivers licence suspension.
