Cocaine and marihuana seized during warrant execution on Gladecrest Crescent

(Ottawa) – On Wednesday March 25, 2015, the Ottawa Police Service Drug Unit with the assistance of the Tactical Team executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act warrant in the 1-100 block of Gladecrest Crescent. The warrant execution was the culmination of a two week long investigation.

Included in the items seized were:

13.9 grams of cocaine valued at $1390.00.

17 grams of Cannabis marihuana valued at $170.00.

$220.00 in Canadian currency

As a result of the investigation Nicholas DUPLAIN (m), 28 year old of Ottawa is charged with:

Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking a Schedule I Substance (cocaine) Sec 5(2) CDSA

Possession of a Schedule II Substance (marihuana) Sec 4(1) CDSA

Possession of Proceeds of Crime under $5000.00 Sec 355(b) Criminal Code

The accused was released on a Promise to Appear and Undertaking with a court date of April 22, 2015.
