Cocaine and Ammunition seized during Warrant on Patola

(Ottawa) On Wednesday, January 14, 2015, the Ottawa Police Service Drug Unit with the assistance of the Tactical Team executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act warrant in the 1-100 block of Patola Private. The warrant and arrest of a man was the culmination of a week long investigation.

Included in the items seized are:

50 rounds of 9 mm ammunition
7 grams of cocaine valued at $700.00.
0.7 grams of marihuana
As a result of the investigation, Juma ABDI, 24 years old, of Ottawa is charged with:

Possession of Ammunition while Prohibited under Sec 117.01(1) of the Criminal Code
Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking a Schedule I Substance (cocaine) under Sec 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act
Possession of a Schedule II Substance (marihuana) under Sec 4(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act
Breach of Probation X 2 under Sec 733.1 of the Criminal Code
Breach of Recognizance X 2 under Sec 145(3) of the Criminal Code
He was held for a Show Cause Hearing on January 15, 2015.
