WARRANT EXECUTED – FIVE ARRESTED
(CENTRAL HURON, ON) – On August 1, 2012 members from the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Huron County Detachment Crime Unit along with assistance from the OPP Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau – Drug Enforcement Unit executed a search warrant at a residence on James Street in Clinton, Ontario.
As a result of the execution of the search warrant, police seized a quantity of illegal drugs including: Methamphetamine, Lysergic Acid Diethylamide (LSD), Hydromorphone, Cannabis Resin, Psilocybin (Magic Mushrooms), Marijuana and MDMA (Ecstasy). The estimated combined street value of the controlled substances is approximately $2,000. Officers also seized several items of stolen property including jewellery, electronics and power tools. In addition, a prohibited weapon commonly referred to as “brass knuckles†was seized.
As a result of the investigation five people have been charged:
Robert MARRIAGE, age 37, from Central Huron is charged with three counts of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking contrary to section 5(2) Controlled Drugs and Substances Act, four counts of Possession contrary to section 4(1) Controlled Drugs and Substances Act, two counts of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000 contrary to section 354(1)(a) Criminal Code of Canada and Possession of a Prohibited Weapon contrary to section 91(2) Criminal Code of Canada.
Bryan MARRIAGE, age 64, from Central Huron is charged with three counts of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking contrary to section 5(2) Controlled Drugs and Substances Act, four counts of Possession contrary to section 4(1) Controlled Drugs and Substances Act, and two counts of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000 contrary to section 354(1)(a) Criminal Code of Canada
Valerie MARRIAGE, female, age 65, from Central Huron is charged with three counts of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking contrary to section 5(2) Controlled Drugs and Substances Act, four counts of Possession contrary to section 4(1) Controlled Drugs and Substances Act, and two counts of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000 contrary to section 354(1)(a) Criminal Code of Canada
Kayla BRODHAGEN, female, age 21, from Central Huron is charged with three counts of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking contrary to section 5(2) Controlled Drugs and Substances Act and four counts of Possession contrary to section 4(1) Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.
Jared DARBYSHIRE, male, age 24, from Central Huron is charged with three counts of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking contrary to section 5(2) Controlled Drugs and Substances Act and four counts of Possession contrary to section 4(1) Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.
Robert MARRIAGE is currently in custody. All other accused have been released with a scheduled court appearance on August 20, 2012 at Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich.
