Citizen’s Call Leads To Arrest Of Repeat Offender And Recovery Of Stolen Property In Owen Sound

Just before 8:00 am on Friday October 7th an alert citizen saw a man breaking into a car near the 100 block of 4th Street West and immediately called the police.

Police arrived in the area and arrested an 18 year old man that currently has no fixed address. The man had numerous stolen items in his bag including very expensive electronic equipment.

The investigation revealed there was a criminal warrant for the accused for Break and Enter with intent and Breach of a Bail condition.

The man has been held in custody and is expected to make an appearance at the Owen Sound courthouse later today. He will be charged with the offences of:

Theft under five-thousand dollars

Possession of property obtained by crime under five-thousand dollars

Possession of property obtained by crime under five-thousand dollars

Possession of property obtained by crime under five-thousand dollars

Possession of property obtained by crime under five-thousand dollars
