(TOWNSHIP OF PERTH EAST, ON) On Friday May 17, 2013, shortly before 10 p.m., a motorist called the Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and reported being followed closely by an aggressive driver on Hwy. 7/8 near Shakespeare.
OPP officers pulled over the car in question between Shakespeare and Stratford. The driver displayed signs of impairment and arrested for impaired driving. The driver was transported to the Perth County OPP Detachment in Sebringville where he failed Intoxilyzer breath tests.
Kyle HOWITT (23) of Oakville has been charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle, and operation of a motor vehicle with over 80 mgs of alcohol in 100 ml of blood. He is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Stratford on June 24, 2013, to answer to these charges. His driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days and his vehicle has been impounded for 7 days.
