(PERTH COUNTY, ON) – Perth County Ontario Provincial Police responded to a break and enter in progress at a Main Street residence in Listowel around 1:30 a.m. on the morning of November 7, 2012.
Police were alerted by a witness who viewed two males with flashlights gaining entry through a residential window.
Police attended the location and arrested both males inside the residence.
Daniel BATTYE (25 years old) and Brodie WILLIAMSON (18 years old), both of No Fixed Address, have been charged with Break and Enter contrary to the Criminal Code.
Daniel BATTYE and Brodie WILLIAMSON have a scheduled court appearance at the Ontario Court of Justice – Stratford on November 14, 2012.
Police are reminding the public to contact the OPP Communications Centre immediately at 1-888-310-1122 to report any suspicious activity or vehicles around business and residential areas. If you observe a crime in progress do not hesitate to call 9-1-1. Information such as suspect physical descriptions, suspect vehicles, obtaining licence plate information and directions of travel are useful tools for investigators.
