(GODERICH, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to a theft in progress just before 5:00 a.m. this morning after a witness observed two males attempting to steal copper wire. An alert witness observed two suspicious males inside the Sifto Salt evaporator plant property located on Regent Street. One thief was observed hiding behind a wooden skid and another thief was piling copper wire near the fence. Once spotted by the witness the thieves took off running onto Oxford Street toward Huron Road.
