(MUNICIPALITY OF WEST PERTH, ON) On Friday March 08, 2013, shortly after 10 a.m. Perth County OPP officers were alerted by staff of a concrete form manufacturing plant on Arthur St. South in Mitchell of an intoxicated male who had driven onto the property.
Police attended at the scene and located the intoxicated male who was arrested and transported to the Perth County OPP Detachment in Sebringville were he failed two Intoxilyzer breath tests. Clare STRAUS (65) of Stratford has been charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle, and operation of a motor vehicle with over 80 mgs of alcohol in 100 ml of blood. He is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Stratford on April 15, 2013 to answer to these charges. His driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days and his vehicle has been impounded for 7 days.
