(HURON EAST, ON) – A 54 year old driver will be without a driver’s licence this week following a traffic stop yesterday afternoon. Just before 3:30 p.m. a Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer observed a green Jaguar speeding eastbound along Highway 8. The officer confirmed his observations with a RADAR instrument and measured the speed of the vehicle at a speed of 164 km/h, more than double the 80 km/h speed limit. The driver was stopped on Huron Road near Division Line.
Christopher HODGSON, 54, from Perth East has been charged with “Race a Motor Vehicleâ€Â. He now has a court appearance scheduled for Provincial Offences Act Court – Goderich on March 18, 2014. His driver’s licence has been suspended for seven days and the vehicle will be impounded for seven days.
