(WALKERTON, ON) – On July 29, 2012 at 3:56 pm, the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a theft from Wright’s Foodland on Durham Street East in Walkerton. Officers arrived and arrested a male and female that were being detained at the store for stealing groceries. Once they were in custody, officers discovered they were carrying a quantity of illegal drugs. 42 year Chris ECKENSWILLER of Walkerton has been charged with Theft, Possess a controlled substance and 2 counts of Possess a controlled substance for Trafficking. 40 year old Tracy KROPF of Walkerton has been charged with Theft, Breach probation and 2 counts of Possess a controlled substance for Trafficking. Both have been held in custody pending the results of a bail hearing scheduled for July 30, 2012 at 2:00 pm.
