Child Pornography Bust In Waterloo

In January 2017, the Waterloo Regional Police Service Cyber Crime Branch Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit responded to a report from the National Child Exploitation Coordination Center (NCECC). The report alleged a person in Waterloo Region had uploaded child pornography to a social network. On January 25, 2016, as a result of the investigation, Waterloo Regional Police executed a search warrant at a Waterloo address and arrested a 67-year-old man for Possession of Child Pornography and Make Available Child Pornography. Police seized computer equipment as a result of the search warrant. The Waterloo Regional Police Service is a member of the Ontario Provincial Strategy to Protect Children from Sexual Abuse and Exploitation on the Internet.
