Child Pornographer Used FaceBook To Lure Child – Police Fear More Victims

The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of an arrest in an online investigation.

It is alleged that:

– between September 2014 and April 2015, a 17-year-old boy posed as a 15-year-old girl online to lure a child

– he then distributed the child’s images

The boy communicated with the child through various social media applications, including Kik, Snapchat, Facebook, and Instagram, using the usernames of Amanda, and PencilCrayons, among others. He also used an unsuspecting victim’s image as his avatar.

On Monday, November 16, 2015, the boy, who cannot be named under the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act, was arrested. He is charged with:

1) Luring a Child (under 18)

2) Extortion

3) two counts of Distribute Child Pornography

4) Possession Child Pornography

5) Accessing Child Pornography

He was scheduled to appear in court at 1911 Eglinton Avenue East on Tuesday, November 17, 2015, courtroom 408, 9:30 a.m.

Police believe there may be other victims.
