On April 6, 2016 members of the Guelph Police Technological Crimes-Child Exploitation Unit executed a search warrant at a Watson Parkway North home. The investigation was a result of a Peer to Peer file sharing investigation. During the search of the home, computer systems, external storage devices and other articles were seized. A male resident of the home was arrested.
A 52-year-old Guelph man has been charged with possession of child pornography, making child pornography available for distribution and accessing child pornography. He will appear in court on May 24, 2016.

Break and enter
On April 6, 2016, the Guelph Police went to a Dimson Avenue residence to investigate a break and enter. There was no sign of forced entry but a theft of jewellery and money is reported.

Break and enter – update
On March 9, 2016, the Guelph Police went to a Neeve Street apartment to investigate break and enters. On March 3rd and again on March 9th, the front secured doors were bypassed and two males entered. In the first incident, the entry led to a theft from the underground parking area and it occurred at 5:11 a.m. The March 9 incident occurred at 3:11 a.m., the males took items from a fridge in the lounge.
On April 6, 2016 the Guelph Police arrested one of the two males responsible.
Jacob Duquette, 22 years of Guelph has been charged with two counts of break and enter and one count of breach of probation. He will appear in court on May 24, 2016.
