Child Porn Bust In Owen Sound After Pictures Shared On Social Media

On October 30, 2018, the Owen Sound Police Service investigated a complaint from a young person who reported that another young person was electronically sharing intimate pictures that had been sent to the suspect by the young victim.

The suspect was sharing the images electronically with friends on a social media application and threatened the victim that they would continue to share those photos. Police immediately responded, located and arrested the suspect for Possession and Distribution of Child Pornography.

The accused in this case is older than the young victim, and neither can be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
