(SOUTH HURON, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers are investigating a fail to remain collision that took place yesterday afternoon in Exeter. At approximately 3:30 p.m. two young boys were walking home from school travelling eastbound on Sanders Street when they began to cross Main Street at the controlled intersection crosswalk.
As the boys crossed through the intersection the driver of a white mini-van made a left-hand turn turning southbound onto Main Street from Sanders Street. While making the turn the vehicle brushed up alongside one of the boys and knocked him to the ground. The driver took a quick look and drove away from the scene. The child sustained a minor injury from the collision.
Witnesses described the driver as a female in her 30’s wearing eye glasses. Police would like to speak with the driver of this minivan.
