On Monday, January 31, 2014 at 1:05 p.m., police received a call from a concerned citizen as there were unknown chemicals within the residence on Lawson Road.
The London Fire Department’s HazMat (Hazardous Materials) team attended and determined that there was no risk for explosion. A quantity of chemicals in various containers were located within the home. An occupant of the residence was transported to hospital for an unrelated matter.
No one is in custody and no one sustained any injuries.
Police will remain at the address overnight as members of the Guns and Drugs Section (consisting of members of the London Police Service and RCMP) and the Forensic Identification Section are continuing with the investigation.
