On Saturday December 8 and 9, 2012, the Guelph Police Service operated R.I.D.E. programs at various locations throughout the city. Over 1100 vehicles were checked. The Roadside Screening device was used on 22 drivers. One driver registered in the Warn range, and their driver’s licence was suspended for 72 hours.
On December 9, 2012, at 12:08am, Guelph Police were conducting R.I.D.E. on Wellington Street West and stopped a Dodge Ram pick-up. Upon speaking to the driver, police detected the odour of an alcoholic beverage on his breath. The approved screening device breath demand was made and the male driver failed this test and was arrested.
Walter HANLEY, 49 years of Guelph was charged with driver over 80mg. He will appear in court on December 18, 2012.

Upon speaking to the driver, police detected the odour of an alcoholic beverage on her breath. The approved screening device breath demand was made and the female driver failed this test and was arrested.
Chelsie PEREIRA, 18 years of Cambridge was charged with drive over 80mg. She will appear in court on December 21, 2012.
