(HOWICK TWP, ON) Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers have laid production of a controlled substance charges against two brothers from Howick Township following a search warrant that was executed at a Fordwich residence.
On July 10, 2013 a female victim reported to police that she had been sexually assaulted and threatened with a weapon while she was temporarily staying at a residence in Fordwich.
On July 11, 2013 Huron County OPP officers executed a Criminal Code search warrant at the Fordwich residence. A pellet gun along with 49 marihuana plants were seized by police. Further investigation revealed the marihuana plants belonged to the two accused.
32 year old male Chauncey BOLANDER from Fordwich has been charged with: Sexual Assault with a Weapon contrary to section 272 (1) (a) Criminal Code, Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose contrary to section 88 Criminal Code and Production of a Controlled Substance Schedule II (Marihuana) contrary to section 7 (1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act. He remains in custody with a court appearance scheduled for July 25, 2013 at Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich.
Shane BOLANDER, age 30, from Wroxeter has been charged with Production of a Controlled Substance Schedule II (Marihuana) contrary to section 7 (1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act. He has a court appearance scheduled for August 22, 2013 at the Ontario Court of Justice – Wingham.
