(TOWNSHIP OF CHATSWORTH, ON) – On Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at approximately 5:36 p.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police received a report of a possible impaired driver weaving on the roadway north bound on Highway 10 in the Township of Chatsworth.
Shortly afterwards, an officer observed the suspect vehicle, a black Pontiac Grand Prix, nose down in the ditch on Highway 10 north of Markdale. The driver of the vehicle was located at her residence which was near the collision scene. It was determined that she had been drinking alcohol prior to the collision. She was not injured.
Breath tests were conducted which resulted in readings of more than twice the legal limit of alcohol.
55-year old Vivian JACOB of the Township of Chatsworth was charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and driving with more than 80 milligrams of alcohol in her blood.
She is scheduled to appear in Court in Owen Sound on December 17, 2015.
