(TOWNSHIP OF GEORGIAN BLUFFS, ON) – On October 26, 2016 at approximately 12:03 p.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a sudden death on Griffith Island, a private hunt club accessed by boat or plane in Colpoys Bay, in the Township of Georgian Bluffs.
Police, together with paramedics, attended Griffith Island and located the victim who died as a result of a single gunshot wound.
A post mortem examination was conducted on October 27th in London.
The deceased has been identified as 26-year old Timothy HILLIER of the Township of Chatsworth.
Due to the circumstances surrounding the death, police are not in a position to discuss details of the investigation. Foul play is not suspected.
