Chatham man assaulted

The Chatham-Kent Police are looking for information regarding an assault

On the 22nd of October 2013 at approximately 06:30 am a male resident of Grand Ave East was getting ready to leave for work when he spotted a suspicious male party repeatedly walking past his residence. The complainant pretended to go to work and then drove around the block before returning to his home as he believed the male to be suspicious. As the complainant approached his residence he observed the male party standing near his back yard. The complainant rolled down his window and asked the male what he was doing there. The male party then walked around the complainant’s vehicle approaching the driver’s side. The male party then allegedly opened the driver’s door and punched the male driver in the face. The victim was able to close his door and drive away. The victim sustained minor injuries that did not require medical attention.

The male suspect is described as: male white, stocky build, approximately 5’8”, 30- 35 years old with facial hair on the side of his face. He was wearing a plain dark hoody with the hood up and green track pants.
