Man Charged with Assault CK15015810
The Chatham-Kent police have arrested a man following a domestic disturbance in Blenheim.
Yesterday morning, the man and his common-law began arguing which lead to a physical altercation. The man broke a door frame, assaulted and threatened the woman.
Officers responded and the man was taken into custody. The woman did not require medical attention.
The 19-year-old Blenheim man has been charged with mischief under $5000, uttering threats and two counts of assault. He was transported to the courthouse and released with conditions pending a court date of June 13, 2015.
Man Charged with Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle CK15015806
The Chatham-Kent police have arrested a man in connection with a domestic related incident in Chatham.
Yesterday morning, the man assaulted his common-law as they argued over the possession of property. Police were called and through investigation, the woman disclosed that on the previous day, the man was driving erratically and in aggressive manner on Charing Cross Road. The woman was a passenger in the vehicle at the time and was fearful for her life. As she started to dial 911 from her cell phone, the man threatened to crash the car if she didn’t hang up, so she did.
The 28-year-old Chatham man was taken into custody at the residence. He has been charged with assault and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
Traffic Enforcement CK15015847
Yesterday afternoon, officers conducted traffic enforcement on Fork Street in Wallaceburg.
Thirteen tickets were issued and two motorists were found to be driving while under suspension.
Break and Enter in Chatham CK15015823
The Chatham-Kent police are looking for information regarding a break and enter.
Sometime over the past weekend, unknown suspect(s) forced their way into building on Inshes Avenue. Once inside, the suspect(s) rummaged through the office and stole a black Reebok backpack containing personal identification and an IBM laptop.

Theft in Howard Township CK15015820
The Chatham-Kent police are looking for the public’s assistance in locating a stolen lawnmower.
Sometime between Saturday and Monday, unknown suspect(s) stole a John Deere riding lawnmower from an unlocked garage on Hill Road. The lawnmower is valued at $3000.
