Women Charged with multiple offences CK15016865
The Chatham-Kent police have arrested a female in connection with a theft.
Shortly after 2pm yesterday, Chatham Kent Police responded to a disturbance at the Downtown Chatham Centre. Upon arrival officers learned a female party had entered a store and concealed a shirt, she then proceeded to exit the store without making any attempts to pay for the merchandise.
When asked by officers her identity, the female provided a false name and date of birth. Through investigation, officers learned the female party was also currently warranted for breaching her probation conditions.
As a result the 29 year old Wallaceburg women has been charged with theft under $5000, possession of property obtained by crime, obstruct police and causing a disturbance as well as the warrant for breaching her probation conditions. The female was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
Man arrested on Outstanding Warrant CK15016899
The Chatham-Kent police have arrested a man wanted on an outstanding warrant.
On the 15th of May 2015 a warrant was issued for the man as a theft was committed and officers were unable to locate him at this time.
Yesterday evening at approximately 5:30pm officers on general patrol located the man in Chatham. The male was taken into custody, where he was released with conditions pending a future court date.
Man Charged with Failing to Comply CK15016938
The Chatham-Kent Police have arrested a man for breaching his release conditions.
On March 31, 2015, the man was released from custody with several conditions. One of those conditions stated to remain in your residence daily between the hours of 11pm and 5:30am unless in the presence of your surety.
Just before 3am this morning, officers received a call regarding a suspicious vehicle in Tilbury. Upon officers arriving and stopping the vehicle the driver identified himself with a valid Ontario driver’s license.
The 46 year old Windsor man was charged with breaching his conditions. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
