Break and Enter in Chatham
The Chatham-Kent Police Service is investigating a Break and Enter that occurred in Chatham. Sometime between June 6 and June 18, an unknown suspect entered a residence on Harvest Crescent and stole three rings and keys. Anyone with information is asked to contact Constable Lisa Rodger at [email protected] or 519-436-6600 extension #87264. Anonymous callers may call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) and may be eligible for a cash reward.
Dresden Man Charged with Assault
The Chatham-Kent police have arrested a man following an incident in Thamesville.
On Saturday, July 4, 2015, Chatham-Kent Police responded to a disturbance at the Thamesville Threshing Festival. The disturbance involved patrons from the beer tent where a male had allegedly had been hit in the face with a beer bottle sustaining serious injuries. On July 6, 2015 a 20 year old Dresden man turned himself in to the Chatham-Kent Police Service. He was charged with Aggravated Assault and later released with a court date of August 5, 2015.
Kids, Cops & Canadian Tire Fishing Event – July 11, 2015
Fishing Forever and Canadian Tire will be hosting an annual Kids, Cops, and Canadian Tire Fishing Event in Mitchell’s Bay this Saturday July 11, 2015. Registration and start up time is 7 am at the Mitchell’s Bay Marine Park. Cost is $2 which includes free bait for the day, a hot dog, pop, and a bag of chips. There is no cut off time for registration but the event stops at 1 pm. Prizes and awards will be handed out at the end of the event.
People can register ahead of time by calling the Marine Park at 519-354-8423.
