The Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to 173 calls for service in the last 24 hours. Three people were arrested.
Woman Charged with Assault CK17048502
Yesterday morning at 11:00 a.m. the woman, who resides within a complex in Wallaceburg, approached her neighbour about a shopping cart that appeared to be dumped behind her unit. After a brief discussion between the woman and her neighbour, she struck him on the head with a piece of wood and then returned back home. The man suffered a bump on his head, but did not require medical assistance. Police were called.
The 34-year-old Wallaceburg woman was located in her unit, arrested and charged with assault with a weapon. She was transported to Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters where she has been held for a bail hearing.
Man Arrested on Outstanding Warrant RM17003146
In April 2017, the man was released from custody. He was required to attend court on October 10, 2017, but failed to do so. Therefore, a warrant was issued for his arrest.
Last night at 10:00 p.m. the 32-year-old Windsor man was observed on Princess Street N. in Chatham, arrested on the warrant and charged with failing to attend court. He was transported to Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters where he has been held for a bail hearing.

In July 2017, the man was released from custody. He was required to attend court on August 10, 2017, but failed to do so. A warrant for his arrest was issued.
Last night at 8:00 p.m. Zachary Lozon, 20 years, of Forest Street in Chatham attended the police station and turned himself in. He was arrested on the warrant and charged with failing to attend court. He was later released with a court date of January 3, 2018.
Break and Enter in Blenheim CK17048497
Sometime throughout the night of Monday, December 11, 2017 unknown suspect(s) entered a residential construction site on Kent Bridge Road. A dark blue utility trailer, valued at approximately $4000 was stolen, along with construction materials, valued at approximately $1000.
