Man Issued Three-Day License Suspension CK15029642

Last night, around 10:15 p.m. police responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Tissiman Avenue near Pavey Street in Chatham.

The man lost control of his car and struck the curb causing approximately $2000 to his vehicle. Through investigation, police learned the man was driving while under the influence of alcohol.

The 48-year-old Chatham man was issued a three-day licence suspension and charged with careless driving.

Stolen Motorcycle CK15029626

Sometime yesterday afternoon, unknown suspect(s) stole a 1983 black Kawasaki Z44 motorcycle from a residence on Dell Street in Wallaceburg. The motorcycle was last seen with Ontario license plate 6A6N9.

Motor Vehicle Collisions

CK15029558 – Shortly after 7:00 a.m. yesterday morning, police responded to a two vehicle collision on Bloomfield Road near 8th Line. Total damage was estimated at $10,000. A 22-year-old Blenheim man was transported to the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance for medical attention. He was also charged with careless driving.

CK15029561 – At 8:15 a.m. yesterday morning, police responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Brook Line near Baldoon Road in Dover Township. No one was injured. Total damage was estimated at $1000. A 36-year-old Chatham man was charged with careless driving.

CK15029597 – Around 2:00 p.m. yesterday afternoon, police responded to a two vehicle collision on Richmond Street between Merritt Avenue and Industrial Drive in Chatham. No one was injured. Total damage was estimated at $1000. A 77-year-old Tilbury man was charged with failing to yield the right of way.

CK15029601 – Just before 3:00 p.m. yesterday afternoon, police responded to a two vehicle collision on Richmond Street between Keil Drive and Bothwell Street in Chatham. No one was injured. Total damage was estimated at $5000. A 23-year-old Leamington woman was charged with careless driving.

Break and Enter in Wallaceburg CK15029567

Sometime late Monday night or early Tuesday morning, unknown suspect(s) entered an unlocked residence on Wallace Street. Once inside, the suspect(s) stole an oxygen tank and purse containing the homeowner’s personal identification.

Break and Enter in Dover Township CK15029589

Sometime between September 24 and September 29, unknown suspect(s) entered the cemetery shed on Winterline Road in Pain Court. The suspect(s) stole a Stihl weed eater and gas tank valued at $450.
