The Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to 123 calls for service in the last 24 hours. Seven people were arrested.
Man Charged with Theft and Possession
Yesterday at approximately 8:00am Chatham-Kent Police attended an address on King Street East in Chatham in regards to a suspicious male who appeared to be hiding a motorcycle. Through investigation police determined the motorcycle, as well as some clothing items located with the motorcycle, were stolen property. The investigation continued throughout the morning and police located and arrested a 52 year old Chatham male. The male was charged with Theft of Motor Vehicle and two counts of Possession of Stolen Property Under $5,000. He was held in custody for a bail hearing.
Motor Vehicle Collision
Yesterday at approximately 2:00pm, police, along with Chatham-Kent Fire Department and Paramedics, responded to a single motor vehicle collision in the area of St. Clair and Dover Street in Chatham. The vehicle involved veered off the roadway and collided with the building at 53 St. Clair Street. The 78 year old male driver was transported to the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance for medical treatment. There were no serious injuries and the cause of the collision is under investigation.
Motor Vehicle Collision
Yesterday at approximately 3:20pm, police attended a motor vehicle collision in Tilbury. As a result of the collision a 52 year old male was arrested for Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle. The male was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters and charged with Impaired Operation of Motor Vehicle and Drive with over 80mgs. The male was released from custody with a future court date.

Man Arrested from CKPS Wanted List
The Chatham-Kent police have arrested a man wanted on an outstanding warrant for the offences of uttering threats, Break and Enter and Fail to Comply with Probation.
Early this morning, at around 12:15am, the 44year old Chatham man turned himself into police. He was held in custody for a bail hearing.
Female Charged with Liquor Offence
On September 1, 2015 at approximately 11:41pm police attended in the area of Arnold Road in Wallaceburg. An unwanted person was located in the common grounds of the residence. She was intoxicated and unable to care for herself. She was subsequently arrested. The 40 year female was held in police custody until sober.
Police Execute Search Warrant
Yesterday, members of the Chatham-Kent Intelligence Unit, with the assistance of the Critical Incident Response Team, executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act warrant at a residence in Chatham. Inside the residence, officers located crystal methamphetamine, cocaine and marijuana. A 67 year old male and a 41 year old female of Chatham were arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance. They were later released with a court date.
