The Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to 108 calls for service in the last 24 hours. Four people were arrested.
Youths Charged with Assault CK15030257
On Tuesday, October 6th around noon, police responded to a local high school in Chatham in regards to an altercation between students.
As a result of the investigation, a 16-year-old male youth and 17-year-old male youth, both from Chatham have been charged with assault. They were taken into custody yesterday and released pending a future court date.
Man Arrested for Being Intoxicated in a Public Place CK15030403
Just before 6:00 p.m. police responded to the area of Grand Avenue East in regards to an intoxicated man.
The 48-year-old Chatham man was unable to care for himself, so for his own safety, he was taken into custody. He was charged with being intoxicated in a public place and released when sober.
Break and Enter CK15030371
Sometime yesterday between 11:30 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. unknown suspect(s) entered an unlocked residence on Victoria Avenue in Chatham. Once inside, the suspect(s) stole approximately $6000 worth of jewelry.

Motor Vehicle Collision in Wheatley CK15030344
Just before 7:30 a.m. yesterday morning, police responded to a two vehicle collision on Erie Street North near Talbot Road East.
No one was injured. Total damage was estimated at $5000.
A 28-year-old Wheatley woman was charged with making a turn not in safety.
Motor Vehicle Collision in Chatham CK15030375
Around 2:30 p.m. yesterday afternoon, police responded to a collision involving a cyclist on King Street West near William Street South.
The 15-year-old teen cyclist was not injured. His bike sustained about $50 damage.
A 69-year-old Bothwell man was charged with making a turn not in safety.
