Police Investigate Residential Break & Enter
On the 3rd of October 2015 Police responded to a residence on West Bothwell Road, with respects to a residential Break & Enter. Investigation revealed unknown person(s) entered the residence by damaging the front door, and removed personal items from a wallet and a quantity of prescription medication. Investigation is continuing at this time. During the evening hours of October 3rd, 2015 Police responded to a reported Break & Enter at a residence on Patteson Avenue, Chatham. Investigation revealed unknown person(s) damaged the rear door to the residence. Police Investigate Two Vehicle Collision
On the 3rd of October 2015 Police responded to a two vehicle collision on Keil Drive South, Chatham. Investigation revealed minor injuries and approximately $10,000 in damage. A 30 year old Chatham male was charged with Failure to Yield, contrary to The Highway Traffic Act.
Windsor resident arrested for Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle & Over 80mg
During the evening hours of October 3rd, 2015 Police responded to a Fail-to-Remain accident involving suspected injuries. Further investigation led Police to a ditch area on Charing Cross Road, where the vehicle was located. The male driver, a 52 year old Windsor resident was subsequently arrested for Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle Causing Bodily Harm & Over 80mg. The male was lodged in cells pending his release.
Male arrested for Bail Violations, Obstructing Peace Officer and on Outstanding Warrants
During the early morning hours of October 4th, 2015 Police attended an address on Warwick Drive, Chatham with respects to an ongoing investigation. While at the residence a male party was observed attempting to hide from the responding Officers. As investigation continued, the male provided a false name in an attempt to mislead Police. Upon confirming identity of the male, it was determined he was bound by a Court Order which included a restriction of House Arrest. As a result, the male was arrested for Failing to Comply with Recognizance and Obstructing a Peace Officer. Additionally, the male had several outstanding warrants for his arrest, all of which were executed. The male was transported to Headquarters and held for Bail Court.

On October 3rd, 2015 Police conducted spot checks within the Municipality. Attention was directed on detecting & reducing Impaired Driving. Approximately 237 vehicles were checked, with no related offences or infractions.
