Man Charged with Multiple Offences CK15032245
In September 2014, the man entered into a Probation Order with a condition not to possess or consume any unlawful drugs or substances. In August 2015, the man entered into a Probation Order with several conditions. One of those conditions stated that he was to obey a daily curfew of 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
Last night, shortly after 10:00 p.m. officers responded to the area of Park Avenue West in regards to a suspicious person. Officers located the man on Kendall Street and he was taken into custody for breaching his curfew. Upon being searched incident to arrest, the man was found to have a small red 30mg hydromorphone pill in a plastic bag in his mouth.
Through investigation, police learned that the man was also wanted in regards to a shoplifting complaint from earlier in the night at Bob’s Food Basics on St. Clair Street in Chatham.
The 20-year-old Walpole Island man has been charged with theft under $5000, possession of property obtained by a crime under $5000, drug possession and two counts of failing to comply. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
Man Charged with Being Intoxicated in a Public Place CK15032230
Shortly after 7:00 p.m. last night, police responded to a disturbance on Park Avenue West in Chatham. Officers located an intoxicated man who was unable to care for himself. For his own safety the man was taken into custody.
The 38-year-old Chatham man was charged with being intoxicated in a public place. He will be released when sober.
Motor Vehicle Collision in Wallaceburg CK15032187
Just before 11:00 a.m. yesterday morning, police responded to a two vehicle collision on Lorne Avenue near Wall Street. No one was injured. Total damage was estimated at $1000.
A 69-year-old Wallaceburg woman was charged with failing to yield the right of way.
Break and Enter in Chatham CK15032191
Sometime between October 23 at 6:00 p.m. and October 26 at 7:00 a.m. unknown suspect(s) entered a fenced property on Park Avenue West. Once inside, the suspect(s) stole a jumping jack from Pickard’s Construction.

Break and Enter in Chatham CK15032210
Sometime late Sunday night or early Monday morning, unknown suspect(s) forced their way into a locked shed on Joseph Street. Once inside, the suspect(s) stole a red Tecumseh Snow King snow blower valued at $700.
