Chatham-Kent Daily News Release – October 23, 2015

Dover Men Charged with Assault CK15031090

Shortly after 11:00 p.m. last night police responded to a family dispute on Winterline Road. Three Dover Township men, all known to each other, became involved in a physical altercation.

A 45-year-old man and 42-year-old man sustained injuries and were transported to the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance for medical attention. The younger man was treated and released.

The 42-year-old man and a 67-year-old man have both been charged with aggravated assault. They have been held in custody pending a bail hearing.

The 45-year-old man faces a charge of assault causing bodily harm.

Update: Assault in Wallaceburg CK15031531

On Monday, October 19th around 1:45 a.m. police responded to a residence on Elgin Street. Unknown suspect(s) entered the home and assaulted a woman. The 31-year-old woman was air lifted to a London hospital. She has since been released from hospital.

The Chatham-Kent Police Service has no information to believe that the public is at any greater risk following this incident. The Major Crime Unit continues to investigate and urges anyone with information to contact Constable Dan Hamilton at 519-436-6600 extension #284. Man Arrested from CKPS Wanted List CK15031837

On April 22, 2015, the man was released from custody for the offences of theft under $5000, possession of property obtained by a crime under $5000 and escape lawful custody. On September 29, 2015, the man failed to attend court and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

Yesterday morning, the man turned himself in at police headquarters. Mark Dillon, 34 years, of Brock Street in Chatham was released pending a future court date of November 12, 2015.

Woman Charged with Impaired Driving CK15031896

Just before 11:00 p.m. last night, police responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Victoria Avenue in Chatham. The woman struck a lamp post however despite the extensive damage to the front of her vehicle, she continue driving towards her residence.

Officers located the woman and through investigation believed she was driving while under the influence of alcohol. The woman was arrested and transported to police headquarters for breath tests.

Aimee Willimot, 31 years, of 73 ½ Taylor Avenue in Chatham has been charged with having a blood alcohol concentration exceeding the legal limit. She was released when sober pending a future court date of November 13, 2015.
