Chatham-Kent Daily News Release – October 17, 2015

The Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to 109 calls for service in the past 24 hours. 3 people were arrested. There were 9 911 hang-up calls.

Break and Enter in Wallaceburg CK15031331

Sometime between 1:00pm and 7:00pm on Friday, October 16, 2015, an unknown suspect entered a Duke Street residence in Wallaceburg, and removed a small amount of cash, two iPods and some cigarettes, then fled the scene.

Break and Enter in Chatham CK15031304

Sometime between Tuesday October 13th, 2015, and Friday October 16th, 2015, unknown suspect(s) entered a Stanley Ave. garage in Chatham, and removed approximately $5,000.00 worth of musical and sound equipment.

RIDE Programs CK15031344

On Friday October 16th, 2016, the Chatham-Kent Police Service conducted RIDE programs in Dresden, Wallaceburg and Blenheim with a total of 215 vehicles being checked with one 7-Day driver suspension issued as well as four violations.

Operation Cover Up

The Chatham-Kent Police Service is proud to support ‘Operation Cover Up’ once again this year. The program is currently in the ‘Collection Period’ which means that gently used winter coats (especially kids and plus sizes) are to be dropped off at any one of the following locations during their regular business hours:

Blenheim – The Salvation Army Food Bank, Blenheim Baptist Church

Chatham – The Salvation Army

Dresden – McBrayne Feed and Supply Ltd

Ridgetown – The Salvation Army

Thamesville – Vivian Cleaners

Tilbury – Tilbury Information and HELP Centre

Wallaceburg – The Salvation Army
