Man Charged with Obstruct Peace Officer CK15029666
Yesterday morning, police responded to the Downtown Chatham Centre on King Street to assist mall security. The Security Officer attempted to arrest a man for trespassing when he became aggressive and failed to cooperate. Upon police arrival, the man falsely identified himself while being escorted off the property. Through investigation, police learned the man’s real name and that he was currently wanted on an outstanding warrant for two counts of breach of probation.
Upon searching the man, incident to arrest, he was found to be in possession of marijuana.
The 19-year-old Chatham man has been charged with breach of probation, drug possession and two counts of obstruct. He was transported to the courthouse pending a bail hearing.
Man Arrested on Outstanding Warrant CK15029717
On September 18, 2015, a warrant was issued for the man as he failed to comply with his Probation Order.
Yesterday afternoon, police responded to Walmart on St. Clair Street in Chatham in regards to a shoplifting complaint. The man was taken into custody on the outstanding warrant and further charged with theft under $5000 and possession of property obtained by a crime under $5000.
Nathan Sharrow, 23 years, of Margaret Avenue in Wallaceburg was released pending a future court date of November 3, 2015.
Man Charged with being Intoxicated in a Public Place CK15029700
Yesterday afternoon around 2:30 p.m. officers responded to the area of St. Clair Street in Chatham in regards to an intoxicated man. For his own safety, the man was taken into custody.
The 29-year-old Chatham man was charged with being intoxicated in a public place. He was released when sober.
Motor Vehicle Collision CK15029657
Just before 9:00 a.m. yesterday morning, police responded to a two vehicle collision on Queen Street between Tissiman Avenue and Indian Creek Road in Chatham.
No one was injured. Total damage was estimated at $10,000.
A 42-year-old Chatham man was charged with careless driving.

Shortly after 11:00 a.m. yesterday morning, police responded to a two vehicle collision on McNaughton Avenue West near Woods Street in Chatham.
No one was injured. Total damage was estimated at $5000.
An 18-year-old Wallaceburg woman was charged with careless driving.
