Update – Motor Vehicle Collision CK15032310
On October 27, 2015 around 2:38 p.m. emergency crews responded to a motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Erieau Road and Bisnett Line in Harwich Township.
A southbound Chevrolet Impala turned left onto Bisnett Line and in doing so, turned directly into the path of a northbound Harley Davidson motorcycle. The rider of the motorcycle suffered life-threatening injuries. He was transported to the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance and later airlifted to Victoria Hospital in London. The 59-year-old female driver of the Chevrolet was not injured.
On November 6, 2015, Clifford ‘Jamie’ Stokes, 49 years of Erieau died as a result of his injuries. Members of the Chatham-Kent Police Service offer their deepest condolences to the family and friends of Mr. Stokes.

Update – Robbery in Chatham CK15031805
On October 21, 2015, two men barged their way into an apartment on Park Avenue East in Chatham and demanded money from the homeowner. The men assaulted the homeowner and fled with $300 cash.
On October 22, 2015, a 33-year-old Chatham man was arrested and charged with robbery, forcible confinement and failing to comply.
Early this morning, police arrested the second man. The 38-year-old Chatham man has been charged with robbery and forcible confinement. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (RIDE)
Last night, officers conducted RIDE spot checks in Wallaceburg, Tilbury and Orford Road area.
A total of 57 vehicles were checked with no infractions observed.
Motor Vehicle Collision CK15033597
Last night around 6:30 p.m. police responded to a two vehicle collision on Keil Drive North near Grand Avenue West in Chatham.
No one was injured. Total damage was estimated at $2500.
A 50-year-old Leamington woman was charged with an offence contrary to the Highway Traffic Act.
